About Us

Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club is an all-breed dog club, licensed by the American Kennel Club. Since its inception in 1973, Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club has existed for the purpose of advancing the cause and welfare of dogs, both purebred and mixed-breed. The club seeks to benefit both members and non-members alike. It is registered as a 501(c)4 non-profit organization.

Non-members can utilize the classes and educational forums offered by STKC to educate the local community in dog training and care. STKC is dedicated to offering training classes with dog-friendly, positive training as well as methods to deepen the owner’s relationships with their dogs and enable the dogs to be valued members of the family and community.

Members act as ambassadors for their diverse breeds and learn sportsmanship and skills related to showing in conformation, obedience, rally, agility and canine good citizen. They are kept up to date on legislation and health issues that affect the canine community through meetings and the club newsletter. There are special events, including an annual AKC-sanctioned show sponsored by STKC.

We at STKC are dedicated to improving the lives of the dogs and pet owners in the community and providing the tools necessary for our dogs to be as happy and healthy as possible. Our meetings are the third Monday of every month at the Humane Society of Tuolumne County. We welcome anyone who would like to join us and encourage you to participate in the classes provided!
