Acting President Fred Helmbold called the meeting of the Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club to order. This month’s meeting was held in conjunction with the Holiday Party at the Peppery Gar and Brill. The meeting commenced at 6:15 p.m.

Members present were: Fred & Pat Helmold, Linda Grant, Bruce Bertholf, Mark & Holly Azevedo, Lindsay Stark, Cherie Gessford, Dan & Charlene Bertelli, Christiana Kerns, Jim & Mynde Bunker, Minou Alexander, Ed & Patti Martlew, Nancy & Ed Wyllie, Al & Mary Kennedy, Rocky & Jan Costa

Guests present were: Denise (Christiana’s friend) who is from Albania, Janie Azevedo, George and Deborah Hart (Dusty’s Den), and Amy & Gerry Keim from Scottsdale, AZ.

The members present made introductions of themselves and the dogs that they own.

Updates on Club Business – Linda: Membership dues are due January 1^st. You cannot vote in the upcoming election without being paid up.

The "Howler" is out, thanks again to Nancy. Obedience (Puppy and Basic) classes start on January 9^th at 5:30 at the Fairgrounds. The 2002 AKC show will remain on the scheduled weekend as originally planned due to several conflicts with the judges.

It is was M/S/P by Bruce/Pat to defer any further Club business to next month’s meeting.

Brags:

Sydney & Tess (Australian Cattledog) – finally after a horrible weekend at the Madera agility trial, obtained her NADAC/ASCA Novice Jumpers title.

Sydney & Miles (Border Collie) – they were in Columbia Xmas parade with the Humane Society

Patti & Ed – after 14 months in a 20’ travel trailer, they are now permanently in their new home. Patti has no intentions of camping in the near future!

Minou – has been taking advantage of our recent snows by going to the slopes with her dogs. Still wishing to meet with others for outings and hikes with the dogs. Contact her.

Mynde (Shiloh Shepherds) – had a "Puppy Homecoming" with 33 in attendance! They had 27 of the puppies passed a Canine Good Citizen test. One of her dogs entered the International Show and took a Best of Breed, and 2^nd in Group.

Christiana and Grizzly (Shiloh Shepherd) – went to Wal-Mart as a Therapy dog and was well received!

Charlene & Dan – they now are "owned" by a 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, named Lacy. Thanks to Lindsay for arranging everything.

Cherie & Mori (Aussie) – at the Madera trial got lst Elite Gamblers leg.

Cherie & Moon (Aussie) – needs one more leg for NATCH (highest level in NADAC)
